Scripture teaches that the Antichrist himself will not appear until after the Rapture of the Church, yet the satanic system that will empower him is already active in the world. John calls this present reality “the spirit of the antichrist,” which operates now in hostility toward God and truth (1 John 4:3), while Paul identifies it as “the mystery of lawlessness” already at work, restrained only until God removes that restraint (2 Th. 2:7). This system promotes rebellion, deception, centralized power, and unity apart from God, preparing the world for a future global ruler energized by Satan. When the Church is removed, restraint ends, lawlessness accelerates, and the Antichrist is revealed. For believers, this does not produce fear but confidence, because Christ promised deliverance before divine wrath and will gather His Church to Himself before judgment falls (1 Th. 4:16–17; 5:9; Rev. 3:10).

Israel, Globalism, and the Rapture
The Rapture of the Church is imminent—it could happen at any moment, without warning or prerequisite signs. However, while no event must occur before the Rapture, Scripture does reveal the conditions of the world leading up to the seven-year Tribulation that follows. As we observe present global trends, it appears that the stage is being set for the fulfillment of end-times prophecy. These developments, though not signs of the Rapture itself, may indicate how close the Tribulation—and thus the Rapture—may be.
